About
Manhattan General Service connects the A.A. groups of Manhattan with Area 49 (South Eastern New York) and the General Service Office. Our purpose is to support groups in carrying the A.A. message by linking them to the wider service structure.
In SENY, A.A. groups are organized through counties and districts. Manhattan has its own county service structure, which is further divided into districts, including one Hispanic district serving Spanish-speaking groups. Each county or district is guided by a District Committee Member Chair (DCMC), who helps coordinate service and communication.

The Seventh Tradition states, “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
