Manhattan General Service Meeting
A bi-monthly gathering where GSRs, alternates, district and county officers, and committee chairs from across Manhattan come together to share reports, discuss service activity, and carry the collective conscience of our groups to Area 49 (SENY). It’s a place to stay informed, find support in service, and help shape how A.A. functions locally. Manhattan General Service takes a summer recess and resumes in the fall.
SENY Area Assemblies
The SENY Area Assembly is the gathering of delegates, GSRs, committee chairs, and trusted servants across South Eastern New York, who meet three times a year. It’s where A.A. groups from across the region come together to share information, deliberate on service proposals, and set the collective conscience for the area.
Manhattan Share-A-Day
For the last 44 years, Manhattan County A.A. has sponsored a day-long Share-A-Day. Traditionally, the General Service Conference theme is the broad theme of Manhattan Share-A-Day. This year, the theme is Working Together — Increasing Trust. All of the day’s activities tie back to that broad theme through various workshops, made possible by the trusted servants and volunteers within our county.
The Manhattan General Service meeting brings together GSRs, alternates, committee chairs, and trusted servants from groups across Manhattan. It’s held every other month to share reports, discuss service activity, and keep our county connected to the wider A.A. structure through Area 49 (SENY) and the General Service Office. Manhattan General Service does not meet during the summer recess.
